The Faagu family is from Samoa and has only lived here a few years. There are 8 kids and they only had 1 mattress so almost everyone was sleeping on the floor. We were able to get them towels, warm clothes, toys, food, and 5 mattresses. They were so overwhelmed and grateful.
The Maldonado Family is originally from Venezuela. They are empty nesters now. Jose had a heart attack at the end of the last year which led to THREE open heart surgeries this year. This caused him to miss 9 months of work to recover. He started to work again in November but only worked 3 weeks before he was let go because of Covid-19. Really tough situation but they have a positive attitude and are trying to get through it. We were able to help them with Christmas dinner, clothes, groceries, and some restaurant gift cards so they can still go on date nights.
The Peterson family is a couple with 3 kids. They have struggled with job loss this year due to Covid-19. We were able to get them food, gift cards for groceries, clothes, and toys. They were so grateful as well.
The Brickey family is a single mom with 6 kids. She works hard to pay for everything for them but sometimes there just isn’t enough. We were able to help them with Christmas dinner, presents, and groceries.
